Principal

Rachel Weinberger has 30 years of transportation planning experience in the public and private sectors and in academia. She is an internationally recognized expert in sustainable transportation with a specialization in parking policy. Her work is focused on how parking management affects urban design, travel behavior, quality of life, economic opportunity, and the environment. She has worked on parking policy and strategy in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Mexico City. Her published record includes U.S. Parking Policies: An Overview of Management Strategies, Death by a Thousand Curb Cuts, and Is the Curb 80% Full or 20% Empty: Assessing the impacts of San Francisco’s parking pricing experiment, and she has contributed two chapters to the forthcoming book Parking and the City.
